Happy Friday!
As we welcome the month of May, we are excited to wrap up our unit on Insects and Spiders! Children have been observing a butterfly metamorphosis and ants tunneling in an ant farm. They have learned to identify the body parts of different bugs and have enjoyed insect related songs and sifted through insect science books. The letters of this last week have been lowercase f and d.
The beginning of this month will bring a new unit titled “Archeologist Dig.” Children will transform into archeologists and learn the importance of a dig. What is a fossil? They will find things that are lost, put pieces together, learn about Pyramids and the past. Next week’s letters will be lowercase r and g.
Before we do a photo recap of some of our Spring Break activities (better late than never!), we want to remind you that next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Please take a moment to thank your teachers and everyone who makes our Tudorka Tots community the special place it is.
It was a few weeks ago, but we did a lot over Spring Break!
We went to an A’s game and ran around Lake Merritt for a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fundraiser…
We visited our grandparents in the Central Valley and plaed on a 1940s fire truck…
We played at the San Leandro Marina…
We went to an Army Base at an Army Museum in Seattle and had friends over for play dates…
We played on the beach in Carmel…
And we went to Fairyland!
Have a great weekend, and stay cool!
