‘Twas the Friday Before Christmas
‘Twas the Friday before Christmas and all through the school,
The littles were stirring, they could not keep their cool.
The stockings were hung in the hallway with care,
In hopes that vacation soon would be near.
The cake had been sliced for a nice Santa brunch,
There were cookies and fruit and goodies to munch.
The teachers donned elf suits and warm fuzzy caps,
Crossing their fingers that the kiddos would nap.
The gingerbread had been eaten, the snow globes were made,
All crafts had been glittered, the teachers – they slayed!
The sound of tires crunched on the gravel outside,
Parents were here to give their kiddos a ride.
A Honda! A Chrysler! A Volkswagon too!
There were four Mazda 3s and six Subarus!
The teachers gave hugs and fist bumps and cuddles,
Before the kids went outside and jumped in the puddles.
This year has been great with our school family,
With new friends and old, wouldn’t you agree?
Thank you Tudorka, you are such a big help!
